I love this, I’ve been struggling with worry that I was being too prideful, but literally less than a week ago I got through a decade of the hardest experiences I’ve ever been through, I’m 29, and I learned so much about myself and the world. I feel the destruction and pain brought me new eyes to see love, truth and empathy for others. It has led me to want to start work as a peer mentor for addicts, the homeless, and people working around mental health issues. I should feel broken but I’m stronger than ever and I know myself, and a confidence that doesn’t come from make up or anything vessel-related. It comes from hard won experience, soul, and a love of helping others who are in a position I have intimate and affirming knowledge about. Love this article thank you for opening up my perspective.
